Van Gogh Walk is a reincarnation of Isabel Street SW9 and is a special award-winning outside space in an area of London where many people do not have their own garden. Planting and features are inspired by Van Gogh’s paintings, and quotes from the letters he wrote when he lived here are carved around the edges of the planters. The site has won many awards, a highlight being the Placemaking Awards 2013.

Streetscape have won a three-year maintenance contract at Van Gogh Walk, working for Lambeth Council and local residents to maintain this special place to the highest standards.

‘Van Gogh Walk has been full of sunflowers this summer thanks to the Streetscape team. Streetscape came highly recommended as the maintenance team for VGW.  We wanted to work with them because they are a locally based social enterprise with an excellent track record and an apprenticeship scheme that trains young unemployed people to become horticulturalists. We wanted a professional team who would work with us, encourage local residents to get involved, and of course do a great job on our Van Gogh inspired gardens.’

– Elaine Kramer, Neighbourhood Group ‘Streets Ahead’

“I am so impressed with the extraordinary efforts of the team at Streetscape. They are made of special stuff and are a credit to their country. Keep up the good work guys”
